Porsche Club Championship
Plans for this year are well advanced. We’ll be concentrating on competing in the Porsche Club Championship where we’ll be entering at least one car at every race. Our team has decided to make a few changes this year that will hopefully see us competing near the top of the field.
For the first time Porsche Club Motorsport are allowing the 996 Carrera 2 3.4 to compete in the championship and this is our choice of car this year. Preparation is underway and we are all looking forward to developing this car so that it can compete with the more established models.
We have also made the decision to have one driver per car for the whole season instead of drivers sharing a car as we have done previously. We are hopeful that this will bring more consistent results and help us develop the car more quickly.
Our 968 is available for arrive and drive in the above championship as a class 1 or class 2 car (possible weight penalty if entered in class 2) and would be an ideal opportunity for someone to step up a class or to take their first step in one of the most competitive championships in club motorsport. Give Paul a call to discuss what we can offer, you might be surprised how cost effective this would be. Being a part of our team will ensure you are in a competitive and reliable car – and we do like to have a bit of fun along the way (ask anyone who raced with us in 2011!).
The Porsche 968 is also for sale – call Paul for details.
The GT3 Cup car will get a few outings and we are in early stages of seeing if we can put a driver line up together for the Britcar 24hr again this year. It’s early days but we have been approached by both drivers and potential sponsors so we’re cautiously optimistic that we can put something together.
