Performance upgrades & motorsport preparation near Bournemouth & Poole — road, track and competition.

Dorset Sports Cars’ Performance division supports drivers who use their cars as they were meant to be used — on road, on track, and in competition.

This isn’t a general servicing offering. We focus on performance-led work where specialist inspection, preparation and fault-finding genuinely matters: track day readiness, race and rally car preparation, and calibration work on selected vehicles.

If you’re chasing reliability for full-lap sessions, sharper braking and chassis control, or a safer route to more usable performance, we’ll scope the job around your goals and the car’s condition — and tell you plainly what’s worth doing (and what isn’t). We’re based in Dorset and regularly support owners across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne and Ringwood.

Track Day Preparation

Service & Diagnostics

For road cars going on circuit — from first-timers to regulars. Pre-track inspections and servicing, brake and fluid suitability, cooling and safety checks, and post-event inspections to catch issues early.

Our approach

  • Baseline first: inspection + diagnostics before recommending upgrades
  • Define the goal: road response, track reliability, competition readiness, etc.
  • Prioritise safety: brakes, fluids, cooling, tyres, chassis condition
  • Do the right supporting work: fix root causes before chasing performance
  • Validate: road/track-appropriate checks after work is completed
  • Aftercare: clear next steps and maintenance guidance

FAQs

This side of our business focuses on performance-led work where preparation, diagnostics and reliability matter. If you’re unsure whether your car is suitable, tell us the model, usage (road/track/competition), and what you want to achieve — we’ll advise whether it’s a good fit. As specialists in Porsche, Jaguar and Aston Martin, we do provide service and repairs for those and other performance and prestige brands. You may find more information in workshop section.
Not as a default. Calibration should match the vehicle’s condition, hardware and goal. We’ll only recommend remapping where it’s appropriate and can be done safely and sensibly.
Key items are brakes (pads/discs/fluid), tyres, cooling, oil level/condition, suspension condition, and any warning lights or leaks. A pre-track inspection helps catch issues before you’re committed to a full day on circuit.
Yes — we can advise on preparation depending on your series/class and intended use, and help you build a sensible plan around safety, reliability and compliance. If you tell us the series and class, we’ll steer you in the right direction.
We do. A post-track inspection is a smart way to catch wear, heat-related issues or small leaks before they become expensive problems — especially after your first few events.
We’re based in Dorset and regularly work with customers across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne and the surrounding area.
